ICAR-National Research Centre for Integrated Pest Management (NCIPM), India was established in February, 1988 to cater to the plant protection needs of different agro-ecological zones of the country. In spite of a large expert workforce across different plant protection disciplines, there are still epidemics of pests on different crops in the recent past with the chronic pest problems assuming serious proportions. The Centre has a strong institutional network in place to take on the challenges of plant protection in the country in a harmonized manner.
